Järnkors

Lindsborg's Iron Cross

Discover how you can pay homage to your family or a loved one with a purchase of a leaf or brick for Lindsborg’s own Iron Cross or Life Tree, an iron crossbar styled cross or tree with leaves which will produce sound as the wind stirs. Järnkors, or iron crosses, are found in cemeteries in Sweden and in Swedish settlements in place of a headstone. Designed and crafted by local blacksmith Brian Holdsworth, Lindsborg’s Sesquicentennial Järnkors will be close to ten feet tall. The project will serve as a tribute to the residents of Lindsborg past and present, and as a fundraiser for the Sesquicentennial Festival Committee, Inc.
