WELCOME TO THE 150TH BLOG
Welcome to the interactive blog for the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Lindsborg, Kansas. The aim of this blog is to keep the conversation going!
Here you will find ideas submitted for the People, Places, and Things that contributed to the Spirit of Lindsborg. The final 50 of each category has been selected, those submissions are kept under wraps until later in the celebration year.
This site was created to accompany the nominations for the 50 most important People, Places, and Things. As the nominations have been narrowed down the Committee wanted to provide a space where anyone could write about someone or something or some place in Lindsborg that is close in their hearts and/or has a special meaning to the community at large. This is the place.
Here to start are some of the nominations submitted to celebrate this city and its people and places. Everyone who submitted a nomination has been notified if their writing is not being used. You will want to read these nominations again and again. And, this is the place to leave your own thoughts, ideas, and heartfelt writings.
If you would like to contribute you can just jump in. There is no limit on number of words. Your writing will need to be submitted before it can be posted in order to keep the blog focused on Lindsborg and this celebratory year. Jump in and start reading and writing!
